Slow Cooker Beef Rogan Josh

Delicious slow cooked beef swimming in glorious rogan josh sauce.

Ingredients

Serves 4

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, diced
½ jar Patak’s Rogan Josh Paste
1 tsp ginger, chopped
1 clove of garlic, chopped
500g beef, diced
400ml tinned tomatoes
1 tsp brown sugar
200ml beef stock or water
Handful of coriander, chopped
1 lime, cut into wedges

Serve with rice and Pappadums

Method

1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and ginger and cook until softened Add the beef and cook until just browned. Transfer mixture to bowl of a 5.5-litre slow cooker.
2. Add Patak’s Rogan Josh Paste, tinned tomatoes, sugar, water or stock and stir to combine. Cover. Cook on low for 5 hours or until beef is tender.
3. Cook, uncovered, for a further 30 to 45 minutes or until sauce thickens.
4. Sprinkle with coriander. Serve with lime wedges, rice and pappadums.
