A Creamy and Luscious Dal cooked with Fragrant Spices!
3 Tbsp Patak’s Mild Spice Paste
250g Red Split Lentils
4 Tbsp Oil
1 Fresh Chopped Tomato or 200g Diced Canned Tomatoes
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp Butter
Salt to Taste
3 Tbsp Chopped Fresh Coriander (To Serve)
1. Wash the lentils in running water till the water is clear. Drain and keep aside.
2. In a deep pan add oil, washed lentils, water, Patak’s Mild Spice Paste and fresh tomato and cook on medium heat till the lentils are cooked.
3. Check the seasoning, add lemon juice, butter and fresh coriander, mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
4. Serve hot with rice as a main or as a side dish with your meal.
